Inside GIX-PROP

How GIX-PROP protects a challenge account: the balance stop, protection layers and break-even exit

GIX-PROP is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built for prop firm challenges. Every part of it is about protecting the account, in layers. Here is what each layer does, in plain words, and what no software can do.

In 30 seconds

  • One market only: EUR/USD.
  • A hard stop on the account balance, adjustable lower to fit your firm’s limits, never higher.
  • Protection layers act before the stop, so the stop is the last line of defence.
  • A break-even exit after a deep losing cycle, and a close at the stop in an extreme event.

One market: EUR/USD

GIX-PROP trades EUR/USD and nothing else. No gold, no indices and no crypto. One pair keeps its behaviour predictable on the account your firm issued to you.

Layer 1: protection before the limit

Further protection layers act before the stop is reached, designed to keep the account away from it. The stop is the last line of defence, not the only one.

Layer 2: the break-even exit

After a deep losing cycle, GIX-PROP exits at break even instead of carrying the position on toward the stop, when the market comes back to that level.

Layer 3: the balance stop

A hard stop on the account balance, at the level shown in the EA inputs. You can set it lower to sit inside your firm’s daily loss limit, and it can never be set higher.

Extreme market events

In an extreme market event, such as a sudden spike around major news, GIX-PROP closes at the stop to protect the account instead of waiting.

What no stop can do

A stop sets the level at which the software acts, not the price you get. In fast markets, gaps and slippage can fill an order beyond the stop level.

GIX-PROP does not read your firm’s rules or know when they change, and following them stays your responsibility. Gixodia never holds funds and never places trades for you: the software runs on your MT5 account, under your firm’s rules.

Built around two-step challenges

GIX-PROP is designed around FTMO-style two-step challenge rules.

Quick answers

Does GIX-PROP trade gold, indices or crypto?

No. GIX-PROP trades EUR/USD only, on MetaTrader 5.

What happens in a sudden market spike?

In an extreme market event GIX-PROP closes at the stop to protect the account. A stop is a level, not a fixed price: gaps and slippage can fill an order beyond it.

What is the break-even exit?

After a deep losing cycle, GIX-PROP exits at break even instead of carrying the position on toward the stop, when the market comes back to that level.

No software can guarantee a passed challenge, a kept account or a payout.

FTMO is named here only as the rule set GIX-PROP was designed around. Gixodia is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of FTMO or any other prop firm, and Gixodia is not a prop firm.

Trading foreign exchange carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You can lose all of the capital in an account. Gixodia sells software only: it is not a broker, a fund, an advisor or a prop firm. Nothing here is investment advice.
